My parent coaching approach uses life’s transitions and challenges to help parents grow the good in their child. When facing challenges, it is important for parents to leverage family strengths and nurture those aspects of character needed to restore balance and order to family life.
In addition to years of experience counseling in an international school setting supporting Third Culture Kids and their parents, as a parent of four TCKs I have extensive personal experience with issues relating to family relocation, separation and divorce, grief and loss, adoption, blended and step-families, learning challenges and all that comes with having raised four unique individuals in an unpredictable and ever-changing world.
Parents who focus on character development teach their child that happiness is an inside job. Children who learn to recognize and appreciate virtues in themselves are given the opportunity to enjoy life more meaningfully and gratefully. When all is said and done, it is The Gifts Within that make all the difference in this world.
